Our fourth graders had a spooktacular time participating in our Spooktastic Bistro Book Tasting! 📖✨ Students explored five different genres by “tasting” books, discovering new stories, and deciding which genres sparked their interest. From exploring exciting new reads to watching their teachers get a little crazy and enjoying time interacting with their classmates, our students had a boo-tiful time filled with fun, laughter, and a love for reading! A HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make this experience so special for our students! Your time, energy, and support helped make our Spooktastic Bistro a memorable experience. 💚

Our fourth graders had an exciting visit from Consumers Energy! Students learned all about potential and kinetic energy, ways to save energy at home, and how small changes can make a BIG difference! Even better, each student received an energy-saving kit to take home and install with their families to help save electricity and energy! A huge thank-you to Consumers Energy for visiting our school and helping our students learn how to be energy-saving superheroes!

💚Fourth Grade Field Trip💚 Our fourth graders had an amazing day visiting the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center! Each student had the opportunity to explore their top two career interests and get a glimpse into exciting possibilities for their future. From learning about careers in culinary arts, education, nursing, dentistry, cybersecurity, automotive technology, building trades, and so much more, our students had a wonderful time discovering new interests and exploring different career paths! We are so proud of how engaged, curious, and respectful our students were throughout the day! They asked great questions, tried new things, and made the most of this exciting learning experience. A big thank-you to the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center for welcoming us and providing such a fun and meaningful opportunity for our students!

Last Thursday, 4th graders were rewarded with a hat day for their extraordinary effort towards following expectations throughout the building! Classrooms are able to earn class passes when caught following our expectation. Rewards are earned when a class earns 5 class passess. Way to go!

The MacGregor Elementary and Bay-Arenac ISD team is excited to continue building connections through our Peer-to-Peer Program, featuring the Mustang Café, Recess Buddies, and Lunch Buddies! Together, we're fostering friendships, building meaningful relationships, and creating a school community where everyone belongs!

☕ At the Mustang Café, 5th graders teamed up with students from ISD classrooms to prepare specialty drinks and deliver delicious apple cider donuts to staff, serving up smiles and teamwork along the way!

🫧 During Recess Buddies, students enjoyed adaptive switch-operated bubble machines and sidewalk chalk while learning about the cool equipment and communication tools their peers use to talk, interact, and play!

Through shared experiences, laughter, and learning, we're building friendships and creating community.
